Coulomb potential energy

Postby Chem_Mod » Wed Apr 24, 2013 9:17 pm

Should we know how to use the Coulomb potential energy equation? And I'm confused on how lattice energies affect interactions between ions. Could you please clarify this?

Yes. But mostly it involves qualitative analysis. how lattice energies affect interactions between ions ---The lattice energy of an ionic solid is a measure of the strength of bonds in that ionic compound, i.e. the interaction between ions.
