Polar and Dipole

Postby Hannah Pham 1D » Thu Nov 15, 2018 2:18 pm

What's the relationship between polarization and dipole moments? What's the difference?

If a molecule is polarized, there is a positive and negative dipole. If not, there are no dipoles except instantaneous dipoles.

Can someone please explain what polar power is? How does it differ between anions and cations?

If a molecule is polarized then there is a positive and negative dipole
