3F.1 Part a
Can someone explain the process of finding the answer to part a of this question? It ask "Identify the types of attractive intermolecular interactions that might arise between molecules of each of the following sub- stances: (a) NH2OH". Should I start by drawing the Lewis Structure, and then from the model I should know what type of interactions there are?

Re: 3F.1 Part a
The first step is to draw the lewis structure
Because there are H, O and N, this molecule forms hydrogen bonds. Also, every molecule has london forces.

Yes, the first step is to draw the Lewis Structure of NH2OH. From the Lewis Structure we see that there is hydrogen bonding from the bonding of the H atom (covalently bonded to the N atom) and the other N atom. Since all molecules have London forces, these are also present. Lastly, dipole dipole forces exist in NH2OH as well since NH2 is a dipole and OH is a dipole.
