does a molecule have to be polar to have dipole dipole IMFs

Yes, dipole is permanent and is due to a difference in electronegativity between atoms forming a polar molecule.

Yes, just remember that dipoles are the partial charges that arise in polar molecules and these dipoles interact with each other. Thus the name dipole dipole.

both molecules must be polar, not just one. Otherwise it would be a dipole - induced dipole

Yes. Both of the molecules have to be polar. The partial charges created by the dipoles makes it polar.

Yes. Dipole-Dipole IMFs means that both of the molecules have a dipole moment.

Yes. The molecule needs to be polar in order to for it to have dipole dipole interactions since the dipole on one molecule can form an IMF with the dipole on the other molecule.
