Inter vs Intramolecular Forces

I am confused when we can identify when a question is asking about inter or intra molecular forces.
If a question was like what is stronger HS or HSe, (and correct me if I'm wrong)
HSe would have stronger intermolecular forces since it is bigger (so more LDF)
but HS would have stronger intra molecular forces since S is more electronegative than Se.
So how do we know which the question is asking for?

The question will specify determine the relative bond length between the atoms in a series of molecules.

Or ask you to specific the types of forces between molecules.
