Midterm #3b

For this question, why is it not enough to say that entropy is negative because two different substances are combining into one, so disorder is therefore decreasing. What more could have been said to get full credit on this question?

Also consider the phase changes from reactants to products.

For this question, it may have been important to discuss the gas, not just the amount of substances. Specifically, because there is gas on the reactant side but no gas on the product side, the entropy is decreased.
