Lunchbox?
Would an insulated lunchbox be an isolated system? Curious because I misread the test question as a "pack" being a lunch pack/box instead of an... actual cold pack. Whoops.

Re: Lunchbox?
A cold pack would be a closed system. It can exchange energy with the surroundings in the form of heat, but it can not exchange matter.

Hi! I guess the lunchbox, if it is completely sealed and no matter was taken from its inside it could be isolated? As long as no matter and energy are lost then it would be.

Re: Lunchbox?
A lunch box would be an attempt at an isolated system, though in practice it is not. If it were on a test, I believe they will make it clear that they mean a very insulated lunch box or not.
