Thermochemistry // Thermodynamics

I understand that we are entering a new unit, but I am confused. What is the difference between thermochemistry and thermodynamics? Does thermodynamics have more to do with calculations? I find it useful to make links and distinguishes between units/topics.

Thermochemistry

Thermodynamics

Thermochemistry is just applying the cnocepts of thermodynamics to chemical bonds. So basically taking the laws of thermodynamics and seeing how they relate to reactions and bond enthalpies.

Thermodynamics is work, heat, and energy (this includes enthalpy and entropy), whereas thermochemistry is about the bonds and the molecular structure. I think of thermochemistry as the microscopic level, whereas thermodynamics is bigger picture.
