thermodynamic problems

Postby 505706331 » Sat Jan 29, 2022 1:04 am

hi, can someone give a summary of what kind of thermodynamic problems we are doing? I'm a little confused with what is going on in the lectures at the moment. what type of problems would we use the integral to solve or was that just a conceptual thing?

The formula with the integral is used to calculate the work for a system at equilibrium/ a reversible system. The integral expression is equal to -nRTln(vf/vi). We will solve work using this formula not the integral, I believe that was just showing how we got to the final equation.
