## Isothermal

isochoric/isometric: $\Delta V = 0$
isothermal: $\Delta T = 0$
isobaric: $\Delta P = 0$

### Isothermal

So I know that isothermal means that the temperature of the system does not change (ΔT=0). Why does isothermal also imply that ΔU=0?

If you use the equation ΔU = 3/2nRΔT (internal energy for ideal gases) you'll find that a constant temperature will make ΔU = 0.
