### Isothermic definition

What is the difference between isothermal and isometric?

Isothermal is when temperature is constant. I think isometric is related to isomers, where molecules that can be superimposed after a reflection like in a mirror are called isomers.

There's the isothermal process where temperature is constant, internal energy is constant, and the quantity P x V, is also constant. There's the isometric process where the change in volume is 0, which means no work can be done.

Isothermic means constant temperature, isometric means same chemical formula but different arrangement in 3D space

### Re: Isothermic definition

isothermal means temperature is constant so delta u is zero and isometric means volume is constant so work equals zero.

Wait, did Lavelle go over isometric in class? I only recall hearing about isothermal
