Isothermal meaning
What exactly does it mean for a system to be isothermal? I think the prof mentioned something about the heat being the same? I am confused.

Isothermal means that the temperature stays the same, meaning to say, no heat energy can leave or enter the system.

ΔT = 0 so the ΔU = 0 ( for an ideal gas) but Q ≠ 0,
the opposite would be an adiabatic process, ΔT ≠ 0 but Q =0
the opposite would be an adiabatic process, ΔT ≠ 0 but Q =0
