isochoric/isometric: $\Delta V = 0$
isothermal: $\Delta T = 0$
isobaric: $\Delta P = 0$

### Isochoric vs isometric

What is an isochoric/isometric system and is there a difference between the two?

### Re: Isochoric vs isometric

Isochoric is constant volume, Isobaric is constant pressure, Isothermal is constant temperature. I don't think we have done any work with Isometric.

### Re: Isochoric vs isometric

An isochoric process, also called a constant-volume process, or an isometric process, is a thermodynamic process during which the volume of the closed system undergoing such a process remains constant.

They're just different names for the same process, i.e. a constant volume process. Like the user above mentioned, just make sure to understand the differences between isochoric, isothermal, and isobaric processes.

### Re: Isochoric vs isometric

What is the significance of knowing that it is isometric/isochoric? Is it just to know that there is no change for when you're doing calculations?
