Working with Kelvin/Celsius

When we are calculating change in temperature, why is it that if the problem has Kelvin in it, and the temperature is given in Celsius, we don't have to convert units to get the correct change in temperature?

The reason this happens to work, is because the conversion from kelvin to celsius is linearly related(since you just add 273.15), thus since you are calculating delta t in the problem the change in either Kelvin or Celsius will be the same. However, it is good to still always convert to all the same units regardless to be safe.
