Changing L•atm to J

Postby Abbey Kerscher 3O » Sun Jan 22, 2017 6:00 pm

I noticed in a lot of homework problems from chapter 8 that the solution guide would go from L•atm to J and I don't know how to do that. Another question I have is will we need to know that conversion for any quizzes and/or the midterm?

The standard conversion for L•atm to J is 11 liter atmosphere is equal to 101.325 joule. In terms of the quizzes, I believe that mostly everything will be in joules. This conversion is also on the equation sheet that you will be given for quizzes and exams (see laminated chart that came with the course reader).
