## Reversible vs Irreversible Expansion

and

### Reversible vs Irreversible Expansion

I'm a little confused with what a reversible expansion is. I understand how to do the equations, but conceptually I'm not sure what it means to expand reversibly.

Reversible means that the reaction can easily go back to its initial form completely. It's like 100% of the reverse reaction went back to create its initial reactants which is why there is no change in internal energy.
