### Types of Work

Is the only type of work used in this class the expansion work? There are lots of other types of work listed in a table in the textbook

Im pretty sure this is the only type of work because a) Dr Lavelle didn't talk about the rest in lecture and b) the practice questions he set aren't about any other types of work (to the extent of my knowledge)

Yeah I'm pretty sure we only need to worry about expansion work; even the textbook adds in a note every time (so far) that we should assume no non-expansion work is done.

Correct, in an introduction to thermodynamics only expansion work is discussed.
