What is the relationship between free energy and work?

Well when we refer to Gibbs Free Energy (G), its just the energy that is free to do useful work. So the change in Gibbs Free Energy (ΔG) is equal to the maximum amount of work done by a process at constant temperature and pressure (ΔG=[W]max).
