Isothermal processes

Postby Sophia_Kiessling_2L » Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:25 pm

What does isothermal expansion exactly mean? And just wanting to make sure I'm correct but for isothermal expansion the equation S=nRln(v1/v2) is used, right?

isothermal means that the temperature stays the same and I believe that is the right equation to use when solving those types of problems

Isothermal expansion is where temperature stays the same and air is expanded, since heat is lost during work, heat is added.
