6th edition self test 8.1A

Water expands when it freezes. How much work does 100. g of water do when it freezes at 0.0 C and pushes back the metal wall of a pipe that exerts an opposing pressure of 1070 atm? The densities of water and ice at 0.0C are 1.00 gcm3 and 0.92 gcm3, respectively.

I'm a little confused on how to solve this question, can someone please explain the steps to me?

Since w=-PdeltaV, and pressure is given, you need to find delta V. Given the densities of water, we can calculate the volume of water by multiplying 100g x 1 cm3/1g and the volume of ice by multiplying 100g x 1 cm3/0.92g. From there, you should have your change in volume (volume ice - volume water) and you can calculate work.
