How do you identify a limiting reactant? What happens when a reaction “runs out”?

When a limiting reactant runs out you would get no more products. You identify a limiting reactant by comparing the amount of reactant supplied to the ratio of reactant needed compared to other reactants. If the amount of reactant is less than the amount that should be present it is a limiting reactant.
