Reactants and reagents

Postby Jonathan Marcial Dis 1K » Sun Apr 15, 2018 6:29 pm

I'm just a bit confused on what the difference between reactants and reagents are. Can someone help?

The only difference is that the reactant is always a participant in a chemical reaction while the reagent has a broader meaning. Reactants can be Elements or compounds, but not mixture. Reagents are generally mixture containing one of the reactants and some other chemicals that help to stabilize the desired chemical.
