What is the process used to solving a combustion reaction equation, to specify it would be a question similar to the nicotine one on midterm 2

In a combustion reaction your compound reacts with O2 gas to form Co2 and h2o. To go about this problem, like the nicotine problem, you must determine the molecular formula of your compound. To do so find the mols if each element in your compound as you usually would. Once you have done this you can simply write out your balanced equation
