Based on the molar ratios in a balanced chemical equation a student expects 0.20 moles of product. If the molar mass of the product is 81 g.mol-1 what is the theoretical yield?
Do I just multiply the expected moles with the actual product? And why?

Yes, you just multiply the two because theoretical yield is in grams so by multiplying 81g.mol-1 and 0.20 mol, you get 16.2g. Basically, the student will have 0.2 mols of product, the expected and theoretical results if nothing alters the reaction. If the product has a molar mass of 81g.mol-1 and if we are assuming is 0.20 mols, you must determine how much of the product results in terms of grams. Because of the assumption, this is the theoretical yield not the actual yield. I really hope this wasn't confusing!
