I have several questions about the first test. Is there a chance to get partial credit for every question on the test? What if our answers for the problems are off by a few decimals because of rounding differences or using different values for elements? Also a very specific question, for the molarity and dilution questions I doodled around and wrote down the wrong formula but I am pretty sure I got the right answer. Will writing down the wrong formula, even though I didn't use it, dock me down?

I'm not sure how grading works for Professor Lavelle, but I feel like it would be fair to give us partial credit instead of zero points especially if our answer was only off a couple decimal points. As long as we showed our work and put effort in, I think we'll be fine.

On the exam, we were supposed to box our answers, so I'm pretty sure that if you boxed the right answer it would negate the "doodles"

I remember Lavelle saying that he won't take off too many points if you don't have the right significant figures. That implies he'll give partial credit.

I'm pretty sure our TA said there will be partial credit and that being off a few significant figures won't matter much.

My TA mentioned that even if you get the wrong answer write all the equations you're using down so that you can receive partial credit and they can see where you go wrong.
