Are these important?

Postby Chiemeka Ochi 4A » Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:05 pm

How many moles of CO2(g) are produced when 500g of CaCO3(s) is used to neutralize an acid spill? The equation for the reaction at 1 atm and 25 degrees C is:
Will the atm and temperature have an effect on these problems?

It's just a standard for the experiment environment since some reactions may change under certain pressures and temperatures.

The conditions "1 atm and 25 degrees C" just indicate that the reaction is occuring at standard ambient temperature and pressure, or SATP.

Can someone explain how to go about solving this. I know that Avogadro's number is used when solving for moles...
