Ratios between Limiting Reactants and Products

Postby Kyle Harvey 4F » Thu Oct 03, 2019 10:29 am

If a question is asking how many moles of one product would the limiting reactant produce, would it simply be based on the ratio of the stoichiometric coefficients attached to the reactant and product in the balanced equation?

Yes, just the ratio in relation to the limiting reactant and whatever product is being analyzed.

yes, you go find the stochiometric coefficient from the balanced equation of the product being analyzed, and then take into consideration the limiting reactant to solve.
