In this question, the answer key just changes Celsius to Kelvin when solving and I dont understand why we are allowed to do this.

We are able to do that for this particular question because it's just the change in temperature.

So for example if we went from 50 degrees celsius to 52.49 degrees celsius, or something completely different like 273K to 275.49K, the change is just 2.49 degrees for both. So whether the change is given in celsius or kelvin, the change in number of degrees will be the same.
