Weeks 3-4 Achieve Question 14

Postby 106046096 » Sun Mar 17, 2024 5:34 pm

Hi! For this question, Path B in the problem has two steps. Had the first step not been cooled at a constant volume, what would you have needed to have done differently for the problem? Thank you!

Hello, because the volume is held constant, no work is done because there is no expansion/compression. If the volume had not been held constant, then you would have had to use the w = PexdeltaV equation for step A, then add that answer to the second step.
