### Reversible Reactions

Can someone please explain exactly why reversible reactions require more energy and heat than irreversible reactions? Thanks!

Reversible reactions are more efficient, and produce the theoretical maximum amount of work possible from that reaction. What did you mean by require more energy and heat?
