Problem 8.3

Postby Juanalv326 » Sun Jan 14, 2018 6:32 pm

Air in a bicycle pump is compressed by pushing in the
handle. If the inner diameter of the pump is 3.0 cm and the
pump is depressed 20. cm with a pressure of 2.00 atm, (a) how
much work is done in the compression?

What needs to be done in order to get the correct answer. I know that we need to use the work equation, but what do we need to convert?

Wait, nevermind I got it. I simply need to find volume using the area of circle and multiply by the distance. The convert to liters and plug it back into my equation.
