What equation can you assume to be true in an adiabatic reaction, and what about the adiabatic reaction makes it true?

Adiabatic means there is no heat transfer so q = 0. From we get that .

Additionally, if you were asked when does Delta U = q, your answer would be:

When w=0 because Delta U=w and q=0 under adiabatic conditions
