### qp

Can someone explain to me what qp is? Professor Lavelle was going over it in lecture but I'm still a little confused.

### Re: qp

When referring to qp, it is the heat quantity that is derived from using the specific heat capacity at constant pressure; professor Lavelle indicated that qp is also equal to enthalpy change.

### Re: qp

I believe qp is equivalent to deltaH (change in enthalpy), and it represents the heat at constant pressure.
qp=n*Cp*T where n is in moles, Cp is the molar heat capacity, and T is the change in temperature.

I think he's going to talk continue to talk about this in Wednesday's lecture, but if anyone can clarify this even more, that will be great!

### Re: qp

For number 8.3 in the 6th edition it asks for how much work is done. I'm not sure if we went over in class and if we did does anyone know the equation for work?
