What does a negative and positive delta U value tell us?

A positive delta U means the internal energy of the system you are looking at has increased while a negative delta U means internal energy of the system has decreased.

Positive delta U means an increase in the internal energy of the system, while negative delta U is a decrease in the internal energy.

$\Delta U$ represents the change in internal energy.
A positive $\Delta U$ tells us that the internal energy of gas has increased (usually because the temperature increased and the molecules are moving faster.)
A negative $\Delta U$ tells us that the internal energy of gas has increased (because the temperature has decreased and the molecules have slowed down.)

a positive delta u means in an increase in the internal energy due to an increase in temperature
a negative delta u means in a decrease in the internal energy due to a decrease in temperature

Positive value means an increase in internal energy while a negative one means a decrease.

Delta U is the change in internal energy and it is a state property. A positive delta U value tells us that Ufinal is greater than Uinitial or the system gained energy. A negative delta U tells us that Ufinal is less than Uinitial or the system has lost energy.

Delta U is the change in internal energy. If it is positive that means the internal energy is increasing while a negative means decreasing.
