Question regarding converting C to K in examples from textbook

Hi everyone,

I was going through the textbook and looking at some examples, such as Example 4A.3 Calculating the heat required to bring about an increase in temperature
a.) How much energy is required to heat the water? Calculate the heat necessary to increase the temperature of 100 g. of water from 20 celsius to 100 celsius
- the solution inputs 80 Kelvin into the equation instead of 80 C + 273.15 K, why is that?

I think they initially converted the 100C and 20C to kelvin, which would result in 373K and 293K, and then they took the difference, which results in 80K.
