an adiabatic process is one in which there is no change in q during the reaction, so no heat is exchanged.

An adiabatic process is one in which no heat is transferred between the reaction and the surroundings (i.e. q=0). This is not the same as an isothermal process, in which the change in temperature is 0. Simply because there is no change in temperature, this does not indicate that there was no heat transfer between the reaction and the surroundings.

I think that the change in enthalpy would also be zero for cases in which the pressure is constant since only at constant pressure is heat equal to the enthalpy.

An adiabatic reaction is when theres no heat being released or transferred into or from the system. Usually in these cases, q=0 and delta U = w

Can any real process ever be completely adiabatic? Heat exchange seems like it would be inevitable, in the real world.
