hi!
I was wondering if someone could clarify what all the different C equations are. I know that Cs is specific heat, but what are the other significant equations we need to know/are there any others we need to know??
thanks in advance!

Re: All the Cs
I think in general, for the C equations, you're trying to find the specific heat capacity given some quality of the sample. So, for Cs, it would C/m, where m is the mass of the sample. For Cm, it would C/n, where n is the moles of the sample. I might be missing some others, but these are a few!

Re: All the Cs
Cm is the molar heat capacity, which would be in units of J/(K*mol) and C alone is heat capacity, which does not depend on the amount of substance present

Re: All the Cs
Also ,Cp is the heat capacity at constant pressure while Cv is while at constant volume.
