Equations for enthalpy

Postby Karen Elrayes 1L » Wed Feb 17, 2021 2:02 pm

What are all version of enthalpy (delta H) equations we need to know at the different conditions? constant P, constant V, etc...

the standard enthalpy of formation is just using the delta H of the products - delta H of the reactants. Then when there is constant pressure qp = delta H but that is used when using the delta U equation and that becomes deltaU = delta H - PdeltaV. When there is constant volume, that means the system is doing no work so, U = q. I'm not sure this is exactly the answer you were looking for but hope this helps.

Are you asking about CV, Cp? Etc? Because typically that's given by the R value.
