Ideal Gases

Postby Gina Grainda 1G » Sun Feb 07, 2016 10:17 pm

When calculating the entropy for an ideal gas, under what conditions do you use 3/2R and the 5/2R? Are they to be used during any ideal gas calculation?

These are how you calculate the heat capacity of ideal gases.

You use the 3/2R equation for monatomic gases.

You use the 5/2R equation for diatomic gases.
