### Celsius to Kelvin Clarification

Hi! This is kind of random, but when we're converting from Celsius to Kelvin, does Lavelle want us to add 273.15 or just 273???

Hi! I have the same question, because sometimes the solutions manual and TAs add 273 instead of 273.15 when converting from Celsius to Kelvin and I've noticed that the answers are slightly different. However, since the equations sheet that we get for the midterm has "0 degrees Celsius=273.15 K" I think we should use 273.15 on the midterm.

I would use 273.15 on the midterm just to be safe... There's nothing wrong with using a more precise number in your calculations!

The equation sheet says K = C + 273.15, so I would just use that to be safe. You can always adjust decimal points based on the number of sig figs in the answer. I typically use 273.15 and I've never been docked for the potential discrepancies
