### 3/2 R and 5/2 R

What types of problems would we be using 3/2 R, 5/2 R, 3R, 7/2 R, and 4R? what exactly do those values indicate, and what part of a word problem would indicate that our calculations require us to use those values?

### Re: 3/2 R and 5/2 R

3/2 R=Cv
5/2R=Cp
this is used in the equation to find heat
q=ncdeltaT
those values only apply to ideal gases

The different values relate to what it is (atom, linear/ nonlinear molecule) and it is used in an change in entropy equation nCpln(T2/T1)

### Re: 3/2 R and 5/2 R

Cv = 3/2 R This constant is for solving entropy of a system with constant volume
Cp = 5/2 R This constant is for solving entropy of a system with constant pressure
