Affect of temperature on entropy?
Does increasing the temperature, increase or decrease the entropy of a system? Since increasing the temperature should put the molecules in an excited state to move around more freely

Re: Affect of temperature on entropy?
Increasing the temperature would lead to an increase in entropy of the system

Re: Affect of temperature on entropy?
Yes, as temperature increases, entropy increases due to the excited nature of the molecules within a system.

Re: Affect of temperature on entropy?
Increasing the temperature would increase the entropy because if you are increasing the temperature, there would be more states in the system. More states in a system means there is more entropy for the system.
