Entropy in different phases

Postby Sanjana Borle 2K » Tue Feb 11, 2020 10:00 pm

How does entropy of a substance in aqueous phase relate to entropy in the gas, liquid, solid, etc. phase?

Entropy in increasing order goes solid, liquid, and then gas.

Aqueous is more entropic than liquid because it is dissociated; however, it still has much less entropy than a gas at the same temperature.

Hope this helped!
