### HW 9.25: Understanding Molor disorder of crystals

Hi
I am having trouble with HW 9.25
"If SO2F2 adopts a positionally disordered arrangement in its crystal form, what might its residual molar entropy be?"

How do we determine the possible number of positions? Also whenever it says molar entropy do we always use avogadro's number?

Thanks so much!

To determine the number of positions I think you draw SO2F2 with S in the center and rearrange the 2 Os and 2 Fs. This will result in 6 possible arrangements.

you use Avogadro's number because we want to find the amount of entropy per mol, so we need to take into account all the atoms within one mol.

Do we multiply avrogados number by the amount of forms?

Do we multiply avrogados number by the amount of forms?
