Third Law

Can someone please explain the significance of the third law of thermodynamics in determining the feasibility of reaching absolute zero temperature.

The third law of thermodynamics explains that it's impossible to reach absolute zero temperature (0 Kelvin) through any limited process. It's significant because it sets a limit on how low temperatures can go, so it prevents any system from being infinitely cooled. Therefore as temperature approaches absolute zero, entropy approaches a minimum value, making further cooling increasingly difficult and eventually impossible.
