Finding W
Is there a specific way to best find W? Other than drawing out the different possible microstates?

Re: Finding W
Depending on the number of states there are in a given system (2-state, 3-state, etc), you could use the formula x^N to find the degeneracy, where X is the number of systems in the state, and N is the number of atoms in the system.

Re: Finding W
If there are two states for one particle, degeneracy is 2^1.
For N particles in one of two states, degeneracy (w) = 2^N
For N particles in one of two states, degeneracy (w) = 2^N

Re: Finding W
For molecules positions, I think drawing it out is best. For example, on 9.25, it would not be possible to utilize the formula.
