Residual Entropy

What is meant by the term residual entropy? Is it the same as the entropy solved for using the Boltzmann Formula S = Kb ln W?

Residual entropy is the difference in entropy between a non-equilibrium state and the crystal state of a substance close to absolute zero.

Another way to define residual entropy is that it ignores thermal entropy, because it is calculated only from the Boltzmann Formula.

residual entropy is the entropy caused by the disorder of a number of molecules. It accounts for how many molecules there are and how many positions they can be arranged in.

Residual entropy is caused solely by positional entropy.
