Kinetic Energy Calculation vs Entropy

So int he textbook, we have had to calculate kinetic energy of a compound (using 3/2 R or 5/2 R), but I know we also have to use that when calculating changes in entropy. D0 we use them for change in entropy calculations when a Cv or Cp (constant pressure/volume) number isn't given to us?

yes i believe we do, we did an example in one of the review sessions where we did.
