## Change in entropy= q/T [ENDORSED]

Volume: $\Delta S = nR\ln \frac{V_{2}}{V_{1}}$
Temperature: $\Delta S = nC\ln \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}$

### Change in entropy= q/T

According to the equation, does entropy increase when temperature increases? Or does entropy decrease when temperature increases?

As T gets larger, the 'change in entropy' will become smaller. As you divide by a bigger number, the answer becomes smaller.

Since the change in entropy is equated by q/T, as T increases, the overall change in entropy is decreasing if the heat (q) remains the same.

I have another question that has to do with the same equation. If T=0K like in the quiz, wouldn't that make entropy 0 or not exist? How can something have entropy when it is at absolute zero? It can't move and it's in crystalline structure.
