Equation
For the equation, deltaS=nRln(V2/V1), does the final volume represent V2? Because in the solutions manual, sometimes V2 stood for the initial volume.

The final volume is V2. I think you got it confused with pressure. For pressure, deltaS=nRln(P1/P2).
